Foreign Land of Dreams

So after a week of lovely holidays I'm back! I spent last week in Cairns with two friends and we had such a delightful time...we went snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef (which by the way I would definitely recommend), we traveled to Port Douglas and went to one of the best beaches I've ever seen, we saw craters, waterfalls, rainforests, coffee shops (and tried something at each one:) and generally laughed so much it hurt...
My travel bug has been reawakened (although I remembered why I don't like planes that much) and it's made me want to see the world, fly to exotic places...there are no words to describe adequately how much I want to travel!! I expect I'm not the only one?

My ideal destination would have to be something like Bora Bora or the British Virgin Islands or just anything in the Caribbean.
Followed closely by the Greek Islands, and I want to go back to Europe for a longer time and really see it.

Well, to all my fellow travellers out there, I hope you get your dream soon!
P.S. The world is a book and those who do not travel, read only one page - St. Augustine

  1. The Great Barrier Reef! Sounds amazing! I recently got back from a road trip through northern California, but I'm itching to get a little further from home. India is my ultimate destination, but really I love traveling anywhere and everywhere. Your pictures look lovely. I love those table that have been taken over by vegetation. It looks most adventurous!

  2. Oh, what a lovely place! Thanks for following me-- it makes my day when I know that my blog is worth reading. :) I'm following you, too! Sounds like you had a fun and fantastic time on your trip!

  3. Oh it sounds like you had a wonderful time I am very envious! Perhaps one day I shall go to all these places too. I also wish to travel, desperately so. xxx

  4. The great Barrier must be magical... As for me, I would LOVE to visit Scandinavia, the fjords, and to see the midnight sun.

    2. Italy, i was good friends with an exchange student from there this past year and i learned so much from her. Plus, i think Italy is possibly one of the most beautiful countries. The towns are colorful, shorline GORGEOUS and they the best cuisine in the world hands down.

    3. France. Im studying to be fluent. Plus, have you seen pictures of the Cote d'Azur??? Stunning!!!!!!!

    4. hmmmm, some island in the carribean or like tahiti, bora bora, you know, gorgeous fantasy islands like that.

    5. Japan. I'd love to see how it differs from China. And i would love to go during cherry blossom season!

okay, so basically, i want to travel all my life. Italy and France are not the only places in Eurpoe im dying to go to. Like you, i want to SEE Europe. I love their culture.
Your trip to the Great Barrier Reef sounds amazing!
The GBR and Victoria Falls (in Africa) probs make my top 2 natural sights i want to see.

oh, p.s, here's a place to add to your list of places to see- Hong Kong. The city is AMAZING and in the middle of the islands with the city, mountains are just chillin there. I have a post on Hong Kong on my blog with GORGEOUS pictures of the city!
